Birthday - Smirthday

It was my birthday last week and I spent the day running errands and trying to put my kitchen back together after the floor was put in that morning.  (NO, I did not schedule the appointment for that day.)  Anywhoo . . .  I have reminded my hubby that next year is a "big" birthday year and I expect big things for that birthday so he had better start planning now.  (He kind of blew it for Christmas, Valentine's Day, our anniversary, mother's day, and my birthday.)  In the meantime, I have decided to plan some big things for myself.  So far here are the goals:

1.  I will be at my ideal weight.  That gives me one year.  I even pulled out my "ideal weight dresses" that have been in boxes waaaaay too long and had them dry cleaned.  I have decided that if I can't fit into them by my birthday next year, it is time to give up and get rid of them rather than keep storing and moving them from place to place.  This would make me really sad, since they are really nice dresses and I spent a lot of money on them.

2.  I will run a 5K under 30 minutes.  I figure this one goes hand in hand with the previous goal.  I was well on my way until I got pregnant with Ellie, so it is time to start training again.  I have to admit I am kind of excited to get back at it again.  The biggest issue for me this time is just that . . . TIME!  Between house renovations, a crazy toddler, and a newborn that is turning out to be very colicky and having food allergy problems, it becomes tough to not only find the time but to get enough sleep to get this together.  I keep hoping that as things progress I will start being able to find more and more time and sleep to accomplish this.

3.  I need a jet ski.  Notice I said "need", not want.  hahahahaha  I have wanted one for 20+ years so I figure it is time.  I know it is a pipe dream since we are hopefully going to be buying a house and maybe even moving, I need to have something to look forward to and be excited about.  I am such a water lover and would eventually love to have a really nice boat that I could "camp" in for weeks at a time, this is a good place to start.  Anything to get me on the water!  It's my version of my happy place and is equivalent to my dad or brother flying.  Just get me on the water for an hour and I have regrouped and am ready to go for another week.  So I am going to start scoping them out and see what happens.  I figure I have a year to make this happen, so who knows.

Anyway, that is the list for now.  We will see how it adds or detracts as the year progresses.  However, now it is out there and I have declared it to the world.  Guess I better make it happen.
