Another Step In Operation: Grass Is Greener

Awhile ago, I decided to re-paint our master bedroom. I didn't like how it originally turned out and knew that we needed a more neutral color when we decide to sell. Here are the pictures.

Before:

Jim said that he always felt like we were sleeping in the sky. To me, it just wasn't working. What I had envisioned was sooooooooooooooo much better. Oh well.

Here is the bedspread that we used to have as well. It was definitely blue overload in our room and VERY busy.
After:

Isn't this much better? I can't believe how more "calm" the room feels. I am going to eventually get some blue accent pillows so that it gives the room a little color and goes with the picture as well.
And just in case you think I am totally bored and do nothing but sit and eat bon-bons, here is another project I just did:

I decided I didn't like my old canisters anymore. Not only were they dated, but they were so small that they were not functional. (The biggest one didn't even hold a full small bag of flour.) So I bought clear jars from Walmart and then etched them. The one above says "FLOUR" and the one below says "SUGAR". Much cleaner looking and holds so much more.

We have also bought the tile for our master bath and recently ordered a new front door. Pictures to follow to explain why for both. I'll be so glad when this is all done and we can FINALLY put our house on the market.
