Operation Grass Is Greener

While there is still some touch up work that needs to be done, the bulk of the family room in the basement is D-O-N-E, DONE!

Before:
I tried to get a picture of the trim before we took it all off. You can get an idea of what it was. So ugly and did not match the rest of the house at all.

And here we have the baby-poop yellow walls. (Please excuse the spots. I didn't realize my lens was dirty until it was too late.) The color made the whole room seem gloomy and just not warm or inviting at all.

And here is the nice, cream color that is on the walls now. It is amazing how much bigger the room looks and even more "cheery." I actually don't mind being down there now.

See the new trim? It actually matches the rest of the house and now the basement and upstairs look like they belong in the same home. What a concept!

I am not sure what is next, since Jim is now back in school and money is low. However, there are plenty of little things on all the previous projects that need to be done that I think will be the focus for a little while. I am hoping once we get some money saved up we can focus on the flooring in the upstairs next, but that will be a ways away.
