Maybe It's a Good Thing

Being married to a person who absolutely hates most vegetables can be tough when it comes to preparing meals, especially since I have yet to meet a vegetable that I don't like. (Just the way that some are prepared. i.e. cooked carrots or spinach - blech!)

However, yesterday I discovered it to be a GOOD thing! I was craving vegetables like crazy yesterday, and I wanted fresh ones. (I don't keep many in the house since I am the only one eating them and never can finish them before they go bad.) So my sweet hubby ran to the store and bought two veggie trays, a large one and a smaller one. (Only the smaller one had the pea pods.)

Growing up in the family that I did it usually ended in all out war as to making sure everyone got their fair share of the grape tomatoes and pea pods. They were always the first to go. However, now with my husband I got to eat them all by myself! Whah ha ha ha! It was fabulous! I even could double-dip in the dip if I wanted since he doesn't do dips, either. Junior and my body must have really been craving these since I ate the entire small tray in less than 20 minutes. It was heavenly and I couldn't believe how much better I felt afterwards. (Before, I felt sluggish and blah.)

I just really hope Jr. gets my taste buds on not my hubby's. There are some meals that I crave so much and don't have since it's not worth the effort to make them for just me and making them in "normal" portions means I end up throwing at least half of it away.

you just described my family of "boys" to a T. I'm the only one who likes veggies and casseroles and just about anything. Consequently, I hardly ever get to eat all that good stuff.
