T.G.I.F.!!!!
Little Man and I are having a contest as to who has missed Daddy more this week me or him. I think it is a toss up, especially since he is in the middle of teething with 2 teeth. Ugh! We are so looking forward to him coming home and have lots of "family time" activities scheduled the next couple of days, so we don't let him out of our sight for awhile.
No change with my mother-in-law, who has been in a coma for the past week. Depending on who you talk to determines if there has been any progress or not. Right now the hospital staff are considering following her living will, which states no support by artificial means if no progress is made. (Right now she is on a ventilator and has a feeding tube.) Of course, her biological children are adamantly against following the will, so we will see how this all plays out
The one thing that all of this has taught me is the importance of my belief in the concept of life after death and eternal families. Unfortunately, my in-laws do not have such beliefs and are consequently struggling with "the end". It breaks my heart that they are not open to the knowledge that there is life after death, that families can be together forever. (Trust me. We have tried numerous times to discuss this only to be yelled at or mocked.) Maybe someday.
In the meantime . . . . Daddy is coming home! Daddy is coming home!
