Well, That Sucks!

My husband's step-mother had a heart attack late last week and it does not look like she is going to recover. Consequently, we had to book an emergency flight to get him to his parents' home as soon as possible. Because she is not "dead", we were not able to get a bereavement price. Instead we had to pay almost $1,000 for only 1 person!!! (Oh the joys of not living by a major airport.) Oh well. Thank goodness for an emergency fund!!
