Grading Papers - UGH!

Well, this week I have started the tedious task of grading papers and doing weekly feedback reports (which are a shorter version of a report card). Can I just say . . . . . . . Ugh! It's truly amazing how some of these people even graduated from high school! Some of the students' grammar and spelling is awful, which is really sad considering there is spell-check available. I am glad Jim's 4 day work week is starting tomorrow! It's not easy to focus on grading when he is around because he wants to talk and gets bored pretty quickly, since there are just the 2 of us, and wants me to stop what I am doing to talk with him. For those who know me, this is NOT the thing I want to be doing when I am really concentrating on something. I just want to finish it so I can be done and move on to something more fun. It's something we need to work on in the husband-training program that I have him in. LOL

The really nice thing about having papers to grade is that I don't have to post discussion responses or read (literally) over 100 posts by students and grade them as to if they are substantive or not. (Balance in all things!)

Well, off to grade more papers and spend some dinner time with my husband.
