I am asking all of you to weigh in on this issue. Please let me know your thoughts be it through email or comments on this blog. I really am interested in what others think!
Here is the situation:
If a student turns in a formal research paper and almost the entire paper consists of word-for-word information from internet sites, do you think that this is plagiarism? Also you should know that there are no quotation marks nor is the information formated in a block quote. There is an in-text reference after the information from each site. Basically there are only about 10 words in the ENTIRE paper that is the student's own words.
