My favorite dumb thing a student has said:
"Well, the school only sent me a warning letter about plagiarism and told me not to do it again. Can I get my points back on my assignment?" Um, no, ding-dong. The University has upheld my determination that you flat out cheated and tried to get away with it even though you swore up and down that everything was in "your own words." You got the warning because this was the first time you were caught. You probably have done this before. But since I am the "meanest instructor (you) have ever had", I was not willing to let your bullying tactics scare me into just letting you pass to get you out of my hair. Sucks to be you!
Okay so I didn't really say this, but I sure thought it.
