Tre was born on Wednesday after a very scary, and quick emergency C-Section. It's an extremely long story and since I am completely exhausted and drugged, I will have to tell the story later. Basically, we discovered that I had developed HELLP syndrome and came very close to dying. (For example, to have an epidural you have to have a platelet count of 250 and mine was at 54). I had to be given general anesthesia and Jim had to wait in the nursery. To give you an idea of how fast this all happened: I was called by my doctor at 3:26 pm to rush to the hospital and he was born at 4:37 pm.
This whole experience has definitely put a lot of things in perspective for us and has given us both a lot of insight into a lot of people in our lives. We are quickly discovering who truly cares and who does not, as well as what is important and what is not.
Bottom line . . . we are grateful Tre is here and is okay. I am here and am on the mend. We also have each other. I also want to publicly say how grateful I am to have my husband in my life. He has been amazing these past couple of days and I don't know what I would have done without him. I will never be able to repay him for the love and kindness he has shown this past couple of days. Every woman deserves a husband like him. He truly is amazing, and is and will be an amazing Dad. I truly am blessed.

Congratulations on the birth of Tre! LuVera told me that you had some complications - I'm glad to hear that you are doing better now. HELLP is scary stuff :(.
Congratulations Mom and Dad! Good to hear that everything is ok now. What a great thing to be thankful for on Thanksgiving.
