Phone Calls, Not Visits, Appreciated

Since my husband and I have histories of upper respiratory infections and I am pregnant, we are basically under quarantine in our house thanks to all the people who think they should still be out and about even though they are sick. In fact, my hubby had to take the rest of the week off from work since two people showed up to work today and almost bragging, told others that they have the swine flu and refused to stay home. Instead they were walking around from office to office as they hacked and coughed all over everyone and their stuff. Luckily, his managers are willing to work with him and help him to work from home.

Even 300 students from our middle school down the street and the elementary school also down the street had over 120 students out sick. Since a lot of the people in our ward and on our street work with these students, these people are all now exposed and could be sick. Consequently, my doctor has asked me to stay away from church and my young women's duties until vaccinations are available.

PLEASE!!! If you and/or anyone in your family is sick, please stay home. I realize that not everyone has the luxury of paid time off, but please realize that you could potentially be hurting not only your co-workers, but those whom they have at home. I realize that for most the H1N1 virus is mild for a lot of people, but there are those who it can potentially seriously harm and you just never know who that may be.
