I know that there is a strong campaign right now to make it illegal to text while driving. My husband are very interested regarding this issue, since we have a teenage daughter we know that does this despite our pleadings to stop.
As we were driving in Utah for a recent road trip, I looked over to see a guy driving with NO hands on the wheel as he was texting!!! My mouth just dropped, especially considering the amount of traffic all around us and the speeds at which everybody was driving. Just amazing!
I admit that my husband and I do text each other, especially if he is in a meeting or we need to get info to each other and it needs to be written while he is at work and I am at home. It can be handy. However, I just can't imagine trying to do this while driving.
I am just happy that we made it home safely and didn't have to witness an accident due to stupidity.
